Richter Usher & Vineberg
is one of Canada's largest independent accounting, business
advisory and consulting firms. With offices in Calgary, Montreal
and Toronto, Richter serves clients throughout the world.
In May of 2004, Richter, Usher & Vineberg joined
RSM International to become RSM Richter. With the new company
name, came a new image for all media and a chance to overhaul
the company’s global message.
 Perform Marketing was contracted to rebuild the Richter
website using the RSM guidelines. The rebuild gave RSM Richter
an opportunity to start with a clean slate. To optimize the
site performance, Perform Marketing implemented a dynamic
infrastructure using Microsoft .NET and MySQL technology.
This platform increases the ease of data connections, reducing
or removing the lag between content request and display.
The end result is faster page displays and more efficient
use of data connections reducing server resources.
 To
ensure that more users can access the information,
the site was developed in both French and English. The transition
between
the two languages is seamless, allowing users to jump from
each page to the associated page in the other language.
With users of all ages and ability visiting
the site, RSM Richter opted for Perform Marketing's accessible text sizer feature, which
automatically resizes the font size of the site text to ensure
it is readable.
 To
complete the project, Perform Marketing installed our Afterlight
Content Management System, allowing
RSM Richter to manage the site content. The Afterlight solution
enables RSM Richter employees to author site content live
24/7. Through an administrator, users may be assigned
privileges to various sections of the site so that the different
departments within the firm may manage their own content.
Each modification is then sent for approval and translation
to ensure that the French and English content is synchronized.
With a new look, added features like Flash
animated banners and accessible text sizer, integrated with
a new data-driven infrastructure, the new RSM Richter website
is a great introduction to the new company image.
